One of the most beneficial things a dog parent can do for their dog is to prioritize proper training, and nobody knows that better than Brittany Mahomes, a lifelong dog lover and dog mom.
Mahomes and her husband Patrick, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, have worked side-by-side with professional dog trainer Tom Davis for years to train their dogs Steel and Silver, an eight-year-old American pit bull terrier and four-year-old cane corso.

One of the most beneficial things a dog parent can do for their dog is to prioritize proper training, and nobody knows that better than Brittany Mahomes, a lifelong dog lover and dog mom.
Mahomes and her husband Patrick, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, have worked side-by-side with professional dog trainer Tom Davis for years to train their dogs Steel and Silver, an eight-year-old American pit bull terrier and four-year-old cane corso.

"Training creates better communications and strengthens the bond between us and our dogs," Mahomes says.
The key to successful dog training, whether you hire a professional or take on the task yourself, is consistency and showing your dogs grace as they attempt to learn a new skill.
"By having dogs of my own I've learned so much," she says. "Patience is number one. I’ve learned that in order to have well-trained dogs, you need to invest in training tactics and innovative products for both you and your dog to be happy and safe!"
